A Scream A Minute

we are the house of farts these days. and for the first time ever, I'm the least gassy. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't scream all day and night. oh and did i mention the hiccups? So much fun

I bought mylicon (which gets spit back at me 90% of the time) and gripe water, but neither seems to be doing all that much. I'm exhausted, and I think H may just stay on the train one night and see where it takes him.

Tomorrow we are headed to the pediatrician for our 2 month shots. That should make my day so much more fun. The doctor suggested tylenol before the appointment. He's under the impression it will make them sleep. Ha! fat chance! I'll let you know how it goes. I have much fear and trepidation.

Good luck! Tylenol may not make them sleep, but it does make it less painful. I recommend giving it about 45 minutes before the actual shots. Bring whatever - if anything -- soothes them these days. A pacifier, a boob, a bottle, and go to it immediately after. That's what's worked for us.

Sorry about the gas. I know that's really hard. In the unsolicited advice, what worked sometimes here was pumping their legs. Actually, we did that with J this morning because he hasn't pooped in days. Also, there was a hold in the Happiest Baby on the Block book that worked for Sarah. Basically on her stomach draped over an arm, walking around the house.

I know, probably tried everything and nothing works.

I feel for you. Hard to see now, but it does get better. You are doing great.

agree with Eva, it does get better, even though i HATED that advice while I was going through it cause that didn't help me NOW. Gripe water and mylicon didn't work for my J...he just spit up and was cranky for 1.5 months (starting at 2 weeks old) then at two months old was like a new baby...also started sleeping through the night (both of them)(11pm-6am)(ducking from Eva's fist to my face). We just had to muddle through. I don't know if you're reading my blog or not but i'm just a few months ahead of you so your issues are very fresh in my brain...i'll keep checking on you.
