Oh, God, you're so not alone. Or you wouldn't be if my kids were still a bit younger. Every time I planned some super-mom preschoolish activity (taking a walk, for example) it ended in weeping and tantrums until I set them up with pacifiers and tv.
Now I long for the days that I could hypnotize them with television. I felt like a bad mom, but at least I could make them be quiet!
